Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyetherimide (PEI+GF) is a high-performance engineering plastic composite, engineered with added glass fiber for enhanced mechanical strength and dimensional stability. It boasts exceptional tensile strength (up to 160MPa for 40% GF grade), low mold shrinkage (≤0.0030 cm/cm) and minimal water absorption (≤0.16% ambient), resisting moisture and warping in harsh conditions.
Retaining PEI's inherent heat resistance, chemical stability and flame retardancy, PEI+GF excels in high-temperature industrial environments. Available in rod, bar and sheet forms, it's ideal for precision mechanical parts, aerospace components, industrial silo linings and structural hardware requiring durability and dimensional precision. A reliable choice for heavy-duty engineering applications demanding superior performance.
1. Excellent mechanical performance: Tensile strength up to ≥160MPa, with significantly enhanced rigidity and impact resistance. Mechanical properties improve with higher glass fiber content, far exceeding pure PEI.
2. Superior dimensional stability: Linear shrinkage as low as ≤0.0030cm/cm, resistant to deformation under high temperature and thermal cycles, suitable for precision components.
3. Ultra-low water absorption: Ambient water absorption ≤0.16% and saturated water absorption only about 0.22%, no obvious swelling or performance attenuation in humid environments.
4. High temperature & aging resistance: Retains the high temperature resistance of pure PEI (continuous service temperature 170~200ºC), with good weatherability and UV resistance for stable long-term performance.
5. Chemical corrosion resistance: Resists weak acids, weak alkalis, oils and most organic solvents, anti-medium erosion and aging degradation under industrial working conditions.
6. Flame retardant & insulating: Inherently UL94 V-0 flame retardant grade with excellent electrical insulation, ideal for electrical, aerospace and other insulation-required scenarios.
7. Good processability: Machinable by cutting, milling, drilling and other processes with high finished product precision, applicable for rods, sheets, profiles and other forms.
