Kel-F® (PolyChloroTriFluoroEthylene) is a fluorocarbon based polymer and is frequently abbreviated as PCTFE. PCTFE combines physical and mechanical properties, non-flammability, chemical resistance, near zero moisture absorption and excellent electrical properties not found in any other thermoplastic fluropolymer.

Kel-F® also known as PCTFE or CTFE has many of the properties similar to other fluoropolymers such as PTFE, FEP, or PFA, but is mechanically superior in rigidity and has very low gas permeability.

Kel-F® maintains an outstanding electrical-insulating capability through thermal cycling and in high humidity environments. This material's high compressive strength and dimensional stability make it a good choice for structural material, while its low outgassing rate and permeability make PCTFE a great choice for laboratory, aerospace, flight applications, and instrumentation.

Please Note: The Kel-F® brand belongs to 3M, but their production was discontinued in 1995. The only remaining resin is made by Daikin Industries of Japan and called Neoflon®.

NEOFLON PCTFE M-300H is a high hardness fluororesin with excellent gas barrier properties.

Introduction
- NEOFLON PCTFE M-300H is a polymer with a structure in which all hydrogen atoms of polyvinyl chloride (CH2 --CHCl) n are substituted with fluorine atoms.

It is in the form of one chlorine atom in PTFE structural unit.
- Highly transparent due to this chlorine atom. - It is a fluororesin with the highest gas barrier property and high hardness.
- Excellent in mechanical properties, although it is slightly inferior to PFA and FEP in heat resistance and chemical resistance.
- M- 300H can reduce the mold volume during compression molding of thick molded products. Because it is granular.
- Compression molding and extrusion molding are suitable.

Product Description
PCTFE is a homopolymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene. PCTFE is melt processible and can be extruded or molded. PCTFE has a number of unique properties. In addition to excellent thermal and chemical stability, it has very low moisture absorption and permeation. It also is highly resistant to cold flow, is very rigid, is tough, has excellent dimensional stability and extremely good low temperature properties. It is especially applicable as a valve component material in cryogenic fluid service.
